Bits and odds, flotsam and jetsam. Mozilla, GMail, you call it...

As Ben said, we should see in the next few days a new bugfix release. It will not include changes that happened on the Aviary branch, but it seems improvements have been made to the Winstripe default theme.
... a "Compose in Gmail" for Firefox. Edit: more about this extension here.
Everything happens so fast. Doron has a teaser about Gmail/Mozilla integration, and then I learn (from a comment @ Doron's blaagh) that there is a Gmail-to-pop project.
I stumbled upon a very exciting project: a multi-platform emulator. Well, of course ther was Bochs, but it runs too slow on a "normal" computer to be useful. Well, now there is QEMU. It can emulate an x86 type processor, and PowerPC is under way (well you could also use for this PearPC).
Target CPU | User emulation | System emulation |
---|---|---|
x86 | OK | OK |
ARM | OK | Not supported |
SPARC | Testing | Not supported |
PowerPC | OK | Testing |
Well, I guess something changed, because this morning no invitations were waiting for mel on Gmail. Maybe they have enough beta testers now ? Stay tuned in case I get them later.
If anyone wants 'em, just leave a comment below !
OK, I have some Gmail addresses to give (invitations to Gmail). If anyone wants one, just leave a comment below. That way I'll know if somebody reads this blog...
I just reported a bud in Gmail, because one message was not parsable.

Just in: a checkbox next to the login fields, that reads "don't ask for my password for 2 weeks".
Only 8 blocking bugs according to Ben Goodger. It's going to be worthwile, as past nightlies have been quite bug ridden. Next we can wait for compatible extensions (which you can produce now already).
